My Father, Emmett Allen, had been in the plumbing business since 1957. He started
"Allen Plumbing" in 1973, then incorporated in the early 80's and changed the
company's name to "Emmett Allen Plumbing". Getting close to retirement he changed
the business name for the last time to R J Plumbing Incorporated in April of 1987. He
thought my brother Robert and I would take over the business together. Hence the
reason he named it R J. Emmett remained Owner & President until he retired the fall of
1993. By then my brother had his own plumbing business established. In short, that's
how we got our start.
I've lived in Redondo my whole life, went to Tulita elementary school followed by
Rivera Hall for middle school. I graduated from Redondo Union High School
in the 80's, then went to work for my father while attending a four year
union trade school. I learned everything from welding to rigging along
with commercial and residential plumbing skills. I'm grateful to have a very beautiful
and giving wife along with three wonderful children.
In the winter of 2006, we participated in building a home for the
Extreme Makeover Home Edition TV show in Redondo Beach, CA.,
along with many friends in the plumbing and construction trades.
It was a great experience to help Officer Ripatti and her family.
Definitely time well spent.

We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and will do the job right the first time. This
way we hope to keep you as our valued customer. R J Plumbing has provided services
for many new construction custom homes, remodels, commercial projects and repair
for residential homes in the south bay for years. Most of our business is all received
by word of mouth or referrals. We don't do heavy advertising in the phone book or
yellow pages. When we receive a call from someone who got our name from a friend or
someone we've done work for, the job starts off as a more trusting environment. If you
did get our name from computer search engines, the phone book or our vans, you will
be treated like a long time customer and friend. We don't work on commission so if
you ask us if something needs to be replaced, we will tell you the honest answer. You
won't have to spend the extra money if you don't need to. Give us a try. We'll take care
